Govindaswamy Rangaswamy Govindarajulu(1919 - 1986) was born as the fourth child of Krishnammal and the Diwan Bahadur P.S.G.Rangaswamy Naidu in Peelamedu. His siblings were Lakshmi Ammal, Dr.G.R.Damodaran, Rukmani Ammal, G.R.Venkatesalu and G.R.Varatharajan. He spent his childhood in Peelamedu in the company of the members of his family at a time when they were establishing a number of businesses and institutions.

G.R.Govindarajulu (GRG) went to Loyola for his undergraduate programme but destiny brought him back to Coimbatore. His father P.S.G.Rangaswamy Naidu (1882 - 1947) was a visionary all his life. He had founded the P.S.G Institutions along with his brothers P.S.G.Venkataswamy Naidu, P.S.G.Ganga Naidu and P.S.G. Narayanasamy Naidu.

The mills and the institutions belonging to the family helped the young apprentice GRG to shape his future under the directions of his elders. Young GRG did amazingly well, and eventually became an important person in the management team. His mother P.S.G.R.Krishnammal was considered to be the lady luck of the family.

The meticulous approach and hard work of GRG helped his father P.S.G.Rangaswamy Naidu and brother Dr.G.R.Damodaran to go ahead with their work. The youngest G.R.Varatharajan the agriculture expert did his part over the years.

This helped them to implement a number of programmes connected with business and charity. GRG was eventually appointed as the manager of the P.S.G Industrial Institute founded by P.S.G & Sons Charities. The journey of GRG ensured that he used every single opportunity to add value to his family and the society around him. He married Chandrakanthi of Peelamedu Pudur in the year 1941 and the couple was blessed with G.Devarajan and G.Rangaswamy. GRG took over as the Managing Trustee of the P.S.G & Sons Charities on the passing away of his father P.S.G.Rangaswamy Naidu (1882 - 1947) and Uncle P.S.G.Ganga Naidu (1889 - 1949).

Over the next quarter of a century GRG did much along with his brother G.R.Damodaran for the society through the P.S.G Institutions. Several institutions and campuses were created during his tenure. Over the years Chandra Textiles and The Coimbatore Pioneer Mills (managed by GRG) used to contribute money for the upkeep of the P.S.G Institutions.

GRG was greatly devoted to the Lord Almighty and he used to take a tray of flowers to the temple priest, get it offered to the deity and have a flower picked out. If the color of the flower picked by the priest matched the color in his mind, he considered that to be the decree of God.

GRG used to work for 18 hours a day during the early years of his career. He used to tour the mills on horseback at 4 AM every day and then go around the institutions until 10 AM.

His hard work ensured that the yarn made by Pioneer Mills became known for quality. He believed in a very clean environment and spared no effort in ensuring the same. GRG had a checkered career and it began in the year 1939 when he was made the Secretary to T.R.Narayanaswamy & Co, the Managing Agency which governed The Coimbatore Pioneer Mills and he went on to become a partner of the same in the year 1944.

He served as the President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce at a tender age of 31 years. GRG promoted Chandra Textiles (1954), Pioneer 'B' Mills (1957), Coimbatore Pioneer Fertilizers (1962), UNICEF aided plant at Sri Ranga Vilas Ginning & Oil Mills (1965), Pazhamudir Pannai (1967) at Mayiladumparai in Theni, Raja Rajeswari Dairy farm (1973), Coimbatore Pioneer Mills Processing Unit near Erode (1975), Nektar Fruit Products in Hosur (1975) and Coimbatore Pioneer Machine Works in Hosur (1979).

The US Consul who had visited The Coimbatore Pioneer Mills was impressed with the hygiene and environment that was prevalent in the campus. GRG contributed enormously to a number of temples and this included the Pittsburgh Perumal Temple in the USA and the Peelamedu Karivaradaraja Perumal Temple. He founded the P.S.G.R.Krishnammal High School (1956), GRG Trust (1958), Pioneer Mills High School (1961), P.S.G.R.Krishnammal College for Women (1963), was President, Coimbatore District Supply and Marketing Co Operative Society and Chinthamani Co Operative Super Market (1966 - 1976), Chairman - Southern India Mills Association (1966), founded GRG Children’s School (1969), GRG Higher Secondary School (1972), G.R.Varatharajulu High School (1973), Published Pioneer Workers' World (1974) among a lot of activities.

Swami Chidbhavannanda (1898 - 1985) of Sri Ramakrishna Tapovanam at Tirupparaithurai near Trichy was his spiritual mentor all his life. The Pioneer Sports Club was another of his initiatives and National Champions P.G.Chengappa, Partho Ganguli was brought in for the purpose of coaching the players. GRG was great with human resource management and his common sense accompanied by his extraordinary intuition did wonders in the organizations managed by him.

GRG had several unique traits which stood by him at all times. He ensured that every key belonging to his institutions were brought to his house after the working hours. Every window and door had to be closed during the after-hours. He personally inspected the accounts every day in Pioneer House and he ensured that his wife Chandrakanthi participated in the process. This kind of an approach helped in the grooming of the members of his family.

The GRG couple were known for being wonderful hosts and their guests included the Maharaja of Mysore Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar besides all the top political leaders of India. GRG had the best of facilities but yet was most comfortable with his shirt, dhoti and handspun towel. His favorite car was the Chevrolet numbered MDM 2299. The family spent time at their residence in Ooty during the hot months of summer while ensuring that the maintenance work was done in the institutions. GRG acknowledged every good work, every communication during his 68-year sojourn on this planet.

The Chinthamani Super Market was a retail revolution when GRG was at the helm of its affairs. He was a social entrepreneur beyond measure who made Chinthamani a fabulous shopping destination. Honesty was the byword at Chinthamani during the GRG era and his innovations stood the test of time. The Ladies Super Market, the beauty parlor for women (first one in Coimbatore) and the city's first Chinese restaurant were part of Chinthamani. The dial balance at the sales counters ensured transparency for the customers. The imported goods seized by the authorities were sold through Chinthamani and several other sick cooperatives came under his management. The golden touch of GRG did wonders with the cooperatives.

It used to be an endearing sight watching the kids accompanying their mothers and grandmothers picking out Binaca Flouride tooth paste boxes containing the cute 'Binaca minitiature dolls'. The self-service system with trolleys were introduced in Coimbatore for the first time by G.R.Govindarajulu. The industrialist spent a lot of time on a day to day basis at Chinthamani. GRG believed in all the three - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Family Social Responsibility (FSR) and Individual Social Responsibility (ISR).

GRG and his younger brother G.R.Varatharajan did a lot of good work in connection with agriculture and they set a standard over the years. They spent a large part of their lives engaging with the farmer community. Once when Coimbatore was ravaged by Parthenium weeds, GRG funded the eradication campaign. He was also instrumental in bringing the Coimbatore Medical College to Coimbatore along with G.K.Devarajulu of the Lakshmi family. The Guild of Service, The Indian Red Cross Society, SITRA and many other organisations witnessed the contribution of the couple - Chandrakanthi and GRG.

Deeply spiritual GRG was devoted to Lord Karivaradaraja, the patron deity of Peelamedu and was always seen sporting a Thiruman on his forehead. He loved finer forms of classical art and he had an enviable collection of spool tapes, ceramic and vinyl records. The GRG couple were very close to the Bharat Ratna awardee M.S.Subbulakshmi and the pictures of the music trinity and Swathi Tirunal gifted by her continue to adorn the auditorium at P.S.G.R. Krishnammal College for Women. GRG groomed his sons G.Devarajan, G.Rangaswamy and their spouses Suguna Devarajan, Nandini Rangaswamy. K.Kamaraj, Indira Gandhi, Y.B.Chavan, Bharat Ratna awardee C.Subramaniam, P.S. Kumaraswamy Raja, M.Bhaktavatsalam, Dr.S.Radhakrishnan, Dr. R.K.Shanmukham Chetty, M.G.Ramachandran, K.Karunanidhi, Zakir Hussain were some of the important personages who were received by GRG during his tenure at both the P.S.G and G.R.G Institutions.

G.R.Govindarajulu was an educationist who had worked towards gender equality for decades successfully. Today the P.S.G.R. Krishnammal College for Women founded by him and his beloved wife Chandrakanthi stands tall as the best one offering women’s education in our part of the country. The Sashtiabhapoorthi of G.R.Govindarajulu was celebrated in a befitting manner in the year 1979. The Silver Jubilee of the GRG Institutions witnessed many events and high light being a documentary on the good work of GRG. Chandrakanthi and G.R.Govindarajulu were always in the company of their near and dear. They made sure that they took part in the lives of all their employees and ensured that the best standards were used as a yard stick while remunerating them. Dr. G.K.Devarajulu of the Lakshmi Group was always part of a number of auspicious beginnings connected with the efforts of G.R.Govindarajulu.

The Centenary Celebrations of G.R.Govindarajulu were recently held at the P.S.G.R.Krishnammal College for Women and the family had put up an exhibition of the items and artifacts used by G.R.Govindarajulu. The second son of GRG, G.Rangaswamy and his wife Nandini Rangaswamy hosted the occasion at the P.S.G.R.Krishnammal College for Women. The book ' beyond measure' by Shobhana Kumar carrying the tale of G.R.Govindarajulu was released on the occasion.

The story of G.R.Govindarajulu - the Pioneer from Peelamedu is a milestone in the history of Coimbatore - a city known for its charity and enterprise. G.R.Govindarajulu was one of the rare leaders who understood that empowerment should be achieved with wisdom, wealth and knowledge. Coimbatore was lucky to have given birth to G.R.Govindarajulu, the Entrepreneur with a golden touch.

C Narayanasamy Naidu Iconic farmer leader, founder of Tamil Nadu Agriculturalists Association

Many of the leaders who fought for the lives of farmers. Among them are C Narayanasamy Naidu is very important.Chinnamanna Narayanaswamy Naidu, who was born on 06.02.1925 at Seengalipalayam village near Coimbatore, lost his mother in 40 days of birth.

Narayanasamy, who was engaged in agriculture after marriage, realized how big a fight was. In the early 1950s, the amount of electricity delivered to agriculture was reduced from 16 hours to 4 hours due to the risks of electricity generation and support for the industrial industry. The crops fell unchanged. In 1957, Narayanasamy Naidu held a meeting of the farmers in Coimbatore and met with the District Collector and Minister of Minorities, explaining the sorrow of the farmers and recovering 16 days of electricity once again. This was the first victory struggle by Narayanasamy Naidu.

Narayanasamy Naidu has completely deviated himself from the success of the father and wife's death, his family's economic problems and the integration of the farmers. In 1970, the Government of Tamil Nadu raised electricity charges from 8 paise to 10 paise per unit. The Coimbatore Jilla Vidya Sangai Sangham organized the protest. On May 9, 1970, farmers held a rally in tens of thousands of bulls and tractors. The city was shocked. In June 15, it was announced that the government's offices would be staged before June 19 and will be held on June 19.

At the peak of the struggle, the government has used the repression and the lives of three farmers. The consequences also forced the government to do so. The power charge is reduced by 1 paise per unit. Credit collections have been temporarily postponed. Prior to injuries, the state government raised the electricity bill again from 9 paise to 12 paise and ordered to pay a new fee of 01.01.1972. The farmers of Coimbatore first raised their protest against this. In March 1972, farmers demanded to meet the 12 demands of the state. 15.04. By 1972, these demands were passed on to fulfill these demands.

On May 9, the picket struggle began. Farmers who fought and arrested were imprisoned. Urban people stopped daily consuming vegetables and milk to farmers from 02.06.1972 to 04.06.1972. The purpose is to make a shortfall and to force the government to do so.

Coimbatore farmers staged a new cartoon on 07.06.1972. Tens of thousands of bulls left from all parts of the district were halted before the roads of Coimbatore and in the Sundance and Central Prison. The city of Coimbatore stopped. World newspapers, including The New York Times, released from the United States praised them for their "cow carts pattan tanks of Indian farmers". Narayanasamy Naidu and Dr. Sivasamy are among the many leaders who are responsible for this.

The government felt the boom of the struggle. Narayanasamy Naidu was in talks with the government from July 13 to 16, 1972. The agreement was signed on July 19. A temporary tariff hike has been solved. 1 paise per unit was cut. All farmers in jail were freed.

This victory raised Narayanasamy Naidu as the peasant leader of Tamil Nadu. He is known for his speech, leadership character, argumentative skills, building strategies, integrating farmers and empowering them against the government. He toured the whole of Tamil Nadu with his approval and organized farmers' conferences. Beyond caste and religious devotion, the Tamil Nadu farmers started using the newly formed Tamilnadu farmers' association in the same way as 13.11.1973. Narayanasamy Naidu was unanimously elected as its chairman.

In 1982, the government launched a hunt for the farmers. Opposition farmers were attacked by the police throughout Tamil Nadu. Millions of farmers were arrested and imprisoned. False cases were filed. Most of the voters in Tamil Nadu are farmers. So, the mindset of the whole peasantry was a feeling of a coup. On 20th May, 1982, agrarian leaders met and discussed. 7.7 on the basis of the debate. In 1982 the Party of Indian Farmers and Labor Party was formed. The party suffered a major defeat in the large-scale parliamentary elections in September 1982 and the legislative elections in 1984. Farmers who struggled to wipe out their grief were defeated by their caste, religion and politics and defeated their party.

Narayanasamy Naidu, who created such a huge cataclysm of farmers, spoke at a public meeting in Kovilpatti and died on 21.12.1984 with a heart attack. But the demands for the progress of the peasants he put forward remained unnoticed. In 1989, the electricity bills for farmers were completely canceled and free. Farmers' loans were canceled. Since then farmers have been receiving free electricity for their irrigation, the most important reason is Narayanasamy Naidu.

To honour the memory of Narayanasamy Naidu, a memorial was built at Vaiyampalayam in Coimbatore District in 2017.

R. Venkatasamy Naidu (Royalty Never Dies): First generation Industrialist

R. Venkataswamy Naidu was popularly known as RVS and he reigned supreme in the world of business for much of his life. RVS was born to the smart agriculturist turned entrepreneur V. Rangaswamy Naidu of Peelamedu and the lady with a golden touch Chinnammal on May 12, 1910. Peelamedu was the home to a number of black cotton farmers who had the gumption to take risks and therefore a number of them ventured into industry. Venkataswamy joined the Sarvajana School and subsequently spent some years at the St. Michaels Higher Secondary School before graduating from the University of Madras.

RVS went to England and pursued his B.Sc (Tech) Textiles from the University of Manchester. On his return he joined his father at the family run Radhakrishna Mills Limited. He was appointed as the "Manager" and the title stuck to him for life.

The great depression of 1929 destroyed many an enterprise in the US and around the world. The impact was felt in Mumbai and a number of business houses went into difficulties. This was capitalised by several from Coimbatore. Coupled with the availability of electricity from Pykara, it encouraged them to establish a number of textile mills in the region. The mill owners got together and established the Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) in 1933 under the guidance of Dr. R.K. Shanmukham Chetty who went on to become the first Finance Minister of independent India.

RVS became the Honorary Secretary of SIMA and he went on to achieve much during his tenure which lasted until 1947. He was the main spokesperson for the textile industry prior to independence. The jubilant mill owners recognised his contribution by elevating him as the Chairman of SIMA and he discharged his duty with finesse for 11 years until 1958. RVS took a keen interest in the affairs of SIMA and toiled hard for the industry. It was during his tenure that SIMA got a beautiful office in Race Course and the same was named as "Shanmugha Mandram" as a tribute to Dr. Shanmukham Chetty who had been responsible for the formation of SIMA. The RVS family run "Nava India" brought out a special issue under the stewardship of his younger brother Prof. P.R. Ramakrishnan in order to celebrate the inauguration of the new headquarters of SIMA.

RVS entered the social sphere and he very quickly assimilated much from Diwan Bahadur C.S. Rathinasabapathy Mudaliar, Dr. Shanmukham Chetty and T.A. Ramalingam Chettiar, the trio who helped Coimbatore evolve into a centre for enterprise and administration. Young RVS began by establishing himself with the Peelamedu Weavers Society, Peelamedu Milk Society, Peelamedu Housing Co Operative Society, Central Co Operative Bank, Coimbatore District Central Co Operative Stores among other things.

The sojourn of RVS with industry saw the establishment of Jothi Mills, expansion of Jayalakshmi Mills, V.R. Textiles, Ramakrishna Industrials, Nava India, and The Madras Aluminium Company (MALCO) at Mettur with the collaboration from Montecatini of Milan in Italy. He co-promoted Viscose along with the Lakshmi family and the other texpreneurs of this region. Later on he became the Chairman of EID Parry, SAE India, Herdillia Chemicals, Air Control & Chemical Engineering and Madras Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC now).RVS did his bit for the society by establishing the Coimbatore Institute of Technology along with his brother during 1955 and today it's a world renowned institution. He was a frequent flyer on behalf of SIMA and also as a member of several FICCI led trade delegations which went around the world.

Thanks to his industrious nature he brushed shoulders with many eminent statesman and leaders of his time including Prime Ministers Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Sastri, Indira Gandhi and Morarji Desai, Chief Minister K. Kamaraj, T.T. Krishnamachari, Bharat Ratna awardee C. Subramaniam, former President R. Venkataraman and former Chief Ministers M. Bhaktavatsalam, C.N. Annadurai, M. Karunanidhi and M.G. Ramachandran.

Eminent educationist T.V. Angappan recalls RVS, "My association with RVS was for decades and is truly memorable. He had the courage, grit, ability and vision that no other Coimbatore-based entrepreneur could dream of. He ensured that the south got adequate representations in the national trade bodies during the formative years.”

The huge godowns built by RVS near the Peelamedu Railway Station will stay another 100 years as a tribute to his pursuit for quality. He used to give milk free of cost to all the new born kids in Peelamedu until they were ready to eat solid food. Former Rotary Governor P. Jagadeesan remembers RVS: "He was an extremely talented industrialist with capacity, vision and the ability to make it big. He was quite hard working and got up by 4.00 a.m. and began the day in his large dairy farm. He considered it to be an auspicious beginning."

G. Muruganathaswamy of Gopalapuram was his protege and his opinion on RVS is sure to inspire the youngsters of today, "RVS was an innovator all along and he had a fantastic acumen. He had the capability to grasp concepts, products and processes really fast and he was among the earliest to suggest that the private sector should be given an opportunity to build and operate power projects in Tamil Nadu.

RVS was married to Kamalam, the daughter of R.V. Guruswamy Naidu of Udumalpet and the couple were blessed with four sons. It was through his brother in law G. Ramaswamy that RVS got to be associated with thespian Sivaji Ganesan. His huge bungalow "Kamala Nilayam" stands tall on Avinashi Road.

Shankar Manivannan, the grandson of K. Rangaswamy Nadar, shares the concern and affection that he had for kids, "RVS used to play tennis with his friends at the residence of R.K. Kandaswamy and also read all the newspapers in the company of his friends. He and his friends were quite fond of children. He used to believe that children should be taken good care of. While I was studying in Lovedale he used to direct the caretaker of his house 'Woodend' known as 'Kappal Bangla' to take the car, take me to the bungalow, serve a marvellous meal and drop me back."

The hard work and blessings of his mother Chinnammal was a guiding force and companion for RVS all his life. He was among the earliest to use sewage water for farming and also make fly ash bricks. He perhaps was the first to use modern techniques to harvest rainwater in our region. RVS took up the responsibility of managing Thirumurthy Mills, Kamala Sugar Mills, RVG Higher Secondary School, etc., which belonged to his wife Kamalam. The world of medicine saw him as an administrator while he headed an institution which took care of the medical needs of the people from Perundurai. He had the courage to put forth his views without fear or favour to the difficult politicians of his times. Though there was disagreement, ultimately the political administrators used to see his clear intent backed by vision and seek his guidance on a number of matters concerning industrial development.

K. Damodharasamy Naidu Doyen of Tamilnadu hospitality industry

K. Damodharasamy Naidu (1926 - 21 November 2006) was freedom fighter and founder and chairman of the Sree Annapoorna Sree Gowrishankar Group born in Peedampalli village near Coimbatore.

The Annapoorna chain was started in the early 1960s by K. Dhamodarasamy Naidu as a catering unit in Kennedy movie theater in R. S. Puram, Coimbatore. Later a coffee house was set up and run by Naidu and his three brothers K. Rangaswamy Naidu, K. Ramaswamy Naidu and K. Lakshmanan. It offered coffee, tea and tiffin items. In 1968, they opened a vegetarian restaurant under the name "Sree Annapoorna". The business grew as more restaurants were opened in many locations in Coimbatore. In 1980, a lodging hotel was opened. Currently the Annapoorna group has more than 16 restaurants in Coimbatore and in other cities of Tamil Nadu. It also operates other businesses like kitchen equipment manufacturing, construction, instant food mix production and bottling beverages.

He entered the food business with a canteen that sold keerai vadai at the Central theatre (it is said that people visited the theatre just to eat the vadai) and moved on to a shack in R. S. Puram, where he served idlis with chutney, sambar and ghee. Joining him were his brothers and head cook Achuthan Pillai, whose eyes still well up when he thinks of his late boss, who made the sambar-vada almosticonic. Till he was 70, Dhamodarasamy used to cycle to the R S Puram branch at 4 a.m. Then, he would drive down to the hotel in his favorite black ambassador, MDA 4678. A habit he followed until two days before his death. The founder of Annapoorna believed in equality. When travelling, his assitant would stay in the same room, share his meals and handle money for him. The habit of feeding others got into him early. And, he stuck to it even when the world around him changed. Even now, five beggars are fed at the Rathna Vinayagar temple before the lunch counter opens. On tours, he would pack an extra meal to hand over to a hungry person. Competitors recall how he used to work for the uplift of the industry; he thought nothing of visiting other hotels and suggesting changes for better profits. Native wisdom and thirst for knowledge saw him through life despite the lack of a structured education.

English was an alien subject. So, he hired two people to read books in English and tell him the gist. And, at age 80, he took Sanskrit tuitions to be able to understand the epics better. A proponent of Siddha medicine, he planted herbs in his Vedapatti farm and gave away bottles of medicine to whoever wanted them. For employees, he was an accessible boss who attended all their weddings. Dhamodarasamy never wore a watch, but he'd be on time for every function.  On the technical side, he studied foreign technology and reworked it to suit Indian conditions. He redesigned a German potato peeler, came up with a large-scale idli cooker and introduced steam cooking in his hotels.

Currently the Annapoorna group has more than 16 restaurants in Coimbatore and in other cities of Tamil Nadu. It also operates other businesses like kitchen equipment manufacturing, construction, instant food mix production and bottling beverages

He was president of the Tamil Nadu Hotels Association and headed the Coimbatore District Hotels Association for nearly 35 years.

He was executive committee member of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, representing the Coimbatore District Hotels Association.

The Davidson Institute for Talent Development has announced the 2018 Davidson Fellows.

18-year-old Rajiv Movva of San Jose won a $10,000 Davidson Fellows Scholarship for his project, SNPpet: Deep Learning the Human Epigenome Reveals Regulatory Sequence Patterns and Genomic Mechanisms of Disease. He is one of only 20 students across the country to receive this honor.

“After spending hundreds of high school hours thinking about my various research questions, it feels great to be named a Davidson Fellow,” said Movva. “What I’ve done certainly seems more important and valuable now, and I’m further convinced that science is the path for me.”

Movva built a computer model that can use a particular DNA sequence as input to predict gene expression level as output, which sheds light on the poorly understood “dark genome.” In practice, Movva’s model could bring clinical meaning to large patient-specific DNA sequence datasets that are currently hard to decode. This advanced time frame can allow patients to make lifestyle changes or be treated far in advance, when the disease has little potential to have severe consequence. Movva’s model can also give researchers a clearer picture of disease by flagging genes that are abnormally regulated, prioritizing better targets for drugs and other treatments that remain to be discovered.
Movva, who has lived in the Silicon Valley area his entire life and attended The Harker School, is looking forward to exploring the other side of the country during his upcoming college experience at Massachusetts Institute of Technology

The 2018 Davidson Fellows will be honored at a reception in Washington, D.C., on Friday, September 28

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship program offers $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 college scholarships to students 18 or younger, who have completed significant projects that have the potential to benefit society in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature and music. The Davidson Fellows Scholarship has provided more than $7.5 million in scholarship funds to more than 300 students since its inception in 2001, and has been named one of the most prestigious undergraduate scholarships by U.S. News & World Report. It is a program of the Davidson Institute for Talent Development, a national nonprofit organization headquartered in Reno, Nev. that supports profoundly gifted youth.

Indian-American Hari Kondabolu was honored at the 10th annual GQ India Men of the Year awards this year. These awards aim to celebrate both men and women that “shape the cultural landscape” of the moment.
